Updated Connection Procedures for the Definitive CBAM Register in France (MACF 2.0)

Effective immediately

In a notice to operators dated 15 October 2025, the French Customs Authorities (DGDDI) announced an update and simplification of the connection procedures for the definitive CBAM register, also known as MACF 2.0.

A simplified access process

Since October 16, 2025, importers no longer need to use the EU Login authentication system to connect to the new register.

They can now access the CBAM 2.0 register directly via their douane.gouv.fr account, following the same login process used during the transitional phase.

The authorities further clarified that “importers who already hold a douane.gouv.fr account granting access to the transitional CBAM register (known as register 1.0) will automatically have access to the CBAM 2.0 register using the same account.”

 Important change to EORI identification

From now on, identification must be carried out using the EORI SIREN, which replaces the EORI SIRET previously required.
