Minimum Wage Increase for Posted Workers in France

Applicable as from 1 January 2026

The French authorities have announced the annual increase of the French statutory minimum wage (SMIC), applicable as from 1 January 2026.

New minimum wage rate

By combining the relevant legal criteria, the revaluation of the French minimum wage as at 1 January 2026 is set at +1.18%

As a result, the statutory minimum wage is increased by €0.14 per hour, rising: 

  from €11.88 gross per hour (rate in force since November 2024),

  to €12.02 gross per hour.

This revised rate applies to all employees working on French territory, including posted workers, in accordance with French labour regulations.
